Im back!

I'm finally back after studying like hell for my exams. I've been thinking on what to blog on and I'm still not entirely sure, but I really want to revisit my childhood favourite and all time favourite game, Final Fantasy 8. At the moment I don't know what I will write about so when I get into it and decide what to write I will come back here and let you all know.

Alright guys

Heres the deal, I'm just too busy at the moment to be writing a review. I have end of year exams coming up really soon and need to study. I've also been thinking about whats on this blog, and I don't really think I'm cut out for writing game reviews, and I don't really like writing them. So I was thinking that after my exams, in a week or so, I'll start something new. I need some ideas, I was thinking of writing tutorials on how to hack/cheat online games because we all know that hacking is fun and a good way to get banned. But tell me what you think, and I'll make a.... poll....

Next Game?

I've started playing Maple Story and would like to know what game you think I should review next. I'm gonna whack up a poll where you can decide. Tell me here what games to put in the poll. First 7 get included.

New Features

I just added a Google search bar to my blog so that if you need to search for anything game related, you can.

Rohan Blood Feud Review

Rohan: Blood Feud

Where to begin. This week has been hectic with studying for end of year exams and work, so I've had very little time to actually play this game. I haven't actually left the tutorial zone but will try and review what I have played so far.

Music:

Now this is both good and bad. The good part is that the music is brilliant, I did not expect music that sounded so good in a random FTP. The bad part. which annoyed me quite a bit, was the fact that the music started and stopped very randomly, like it would be playing when you start/end a quest but then it would just cut out.

Gameplay:

The battle system was VERY boring. All I would be doing was left clicking to attack, and pressing 1 to use potions. Now I know that most games don't have a better battle system than one like this but I've developed a very high standard when it comes to battling. Another thing I HATED about the gameplay was that you had a cool-down timer on potions, and if I'm not mistaken it was a minute, which sucked. One thing that was good about the gameplay was the Level up/Exp system. It seemed very easy to level up and I got to about level 7 in half an hour, and the part I liked most about the exp system was that after every 19 kills, the 20th kill gets you 7x exp, and after that, the 40th kill gets you 10x, and so on to about 19x. I remember killing an enemy that usually got me 20% and it ended up getting me 3 levels, which was nice. I also liked the presence of an NPC which could reduce the level you were required to be to equip it, which made me a deadly force, one hit killing enemies with a level 15 sword at level 5.

Graphics:

One good thing about this game was the graphics. They weren't Perfect World standard but they were better than 80% of the other FTP games that I have played. One small thing that really bugged me, was that when you rotate or spin around on a circle, your feet don't lift the floor, you just shuffle, which looks completely unrealistic.
Other:

One other thing I liked about this game was the fact that you could chose to do a tutorial, which is a very good idea. I generally don't like games that insert you directly into a town and don't tell you anything, this game was the opposite. You start off with some information on how to move, talk to NPCs, after that you move on to NPCs which explain items, quests, shops, killing enemies and skills. One thing that really makes me uneasy about a game, is when there are hardly players around, this was one of those games, in the 2 hours of playing, I ran into 4 other players, and this is on the most populated server.

All in all this is a decent game, and has a lot of potential. It could do with an upgraded inventory/shop system because the kind they use is severely overused by other games, they could also fix the music issue, and mix up the battle system. Given that I haven't even passed the tutorial zone, I can't really judge this game in its entirety, just from what I have played, and from what I have played, I haven't been overly impressed, and probably wont continue playing to exit the tutorial zone (Not just because I am not in love with the game, but because I am too busy aswell). Again, I can't judge the whole game because I haven't played the whole game, but from the bits that I have played, I will rate this game a 65/100.
